LikeMind Media are finalists in the East Midlands Chamber Small Business of the Year 2022 award 

Award nominations can be a bit like buses. You wait for ages and nowt turns up. Or BAM! Two turn up at the same time! 

Well, we are simply ecstatic to announce that the LikeMind Media bus stop is one busy place right now 🚏 

Not only have we been announced as a finalist in the much-coveted East Midlands Chamber Small Business of the Year 2022 award, but the good people at EMC have also honoured us by announcing us as finalists in the Commitment to People Development award. A double whammy!  

Now, we’ll be honest, we’re no strangers to awards. We’re not talking Oscars or Grammys, of course, but we have won a fair share of gongs over the years. And while we were deeply chuffed to have won those, nothing, nothing has come close to being in the running for these two amazing awards. 

The EMC Business Awards are a real highlight of the year in the East Midlands. This is a fantastic region to be in, so to be honoured for the work we do, and the opportunity to showcase all that is good about LikeMind Media, is a massive, tickly feather in our cap. 

As our MD, Paul Ince, says: “When you start a business, you don’t think about awards. You’re more focused on surviving, earning a living, doing good work. 

“It’s fantastic to be recognised in this way, and it’s great validation to receive this acknowledgement from an organisation that supports businesses like LikeMind Media in the East Midlands.” 

The winners for Leicestershire will be announced at the Business Awards Gala Dinner at the King Power Stadium on Friday, November 4. Selected winners on the night will also be put through to the regional and national British Chambers of Commerce Awards. 

This is what all the team at LikeMind Media will be rooting for: 

Small Business of the Year award – This award is open to organisations employing up to 75 full-time members of staff, and will go to the company that has achieved consistent growth backed by a strong financial performance. Entrants will need to demonstrate current activity to grow market share and the effect this is having on business performance. Judges will be looking for: the business’s achievements; challenges faced; export activity or potential; potential for growth. 

Commitment to People Development award – This award recognises organisations which demonstrate a firm commitment to people development and the implementation and promotion of a learning and development culture, as well as how employee wellbeing is supported. Entrants must demonstrate how this culture has contributed to the business’s overall success. Judges will be looking for: the importance of people and links to overall business objectives; approach to learning and development; effective development strategies; impact of employee development on your business.
